Vitamin B complex tablets bring the eight water-soluble B vitamins together in one tablet a day: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, biotin and folic acid. 60 tablets, a two-month supply.
Why the B vitamins come as a group
The B vitamins are not interchangeable, but they work in the same place: the reactions that turn food into usable energy. B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and biotin all contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism; B1, B2, B3, B6, B12 and biotin contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system; B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and folate contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Because they are water-soluble and barely stored, intake matters daily rather than weekly.
What is in the tablet
Each tablet covers all eight at doses built around the EU reference intakes rather than megadoses: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), methylcobalamin (B12), biotin and folic acid. B9 and B12 are the pair that matters most together — both are needed for normal homocysteine metabolism and for normal red blood cell formation.
Who a B complex suits
People eating little or no animal food, since B12 occurs almost exclusively in animal products; anyone on a restricted or low-calorie diet; older adults, whose B12 absorption drops as stomach acid falls; and anyone who drinks regularly, as alcohol interferes with thiamine. If B12 alone is the gap, a dedicated dose is the better fit — see Vitamin B12 1000 mcg. For hair and nails, the B vitamin usually singled out is biotin.
How to take vitamin B complex
One tablet a day with breakfast. B vitamins are best taken in the first half of the day: they feed energy metabolism, and some people find a late dose makes falling asleep harder. Riboflavin turns urine bright yellow within a few hours — harmless, and simply the excess leaving the body.

Questions people ask
B complex or a multivitamin?
A daily multivitamin spreads cover across vitamins and minerals; a B complex concentrates on the eight B vitamins at higher doses. Taking both doubles up on the B group.
Can I take it on an empty stomach?
You can, but some people feel slight nausea. With breakfast is easier.
Is it suitable on a vegan diet?
The B12 here is methylcobalamin, which is not animal-derived. The rest of the vitamins range lists its sources on each page.
