L-glutamine powder is single-ingredient glutamine, 5 g per serving, 250 g per pack — 50 servings. Unflavoured, so it mixes into anything.
What glutamine is
Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in human blood and muscle tissue. It is classed as conditionally essential: the body makes it, but during heavy training, injury, illness or surgery demand can outrun supply, and plasma levels drop. Two tissues use it in large amounts — the enterocytes lining the small intestine, which use glutamine as their primary fuel, and immune cells, which consume it during proliferation. That is the physiology behind its two main uses.
Why people take it
Three situations, in practice: long or high-volume training blocks, where sustained output depletes the free glutamine pool; periods of low food intake, when the body draws glutamine from muscle to supply the gut and immune system; and gut-focused protocols, because of the enterocyte fuel role. It is not a muscle-building amino acid in the way leucine is — for that signal, see BCAA 2:1:1 powder or the complete EAA blend.
How to use the powder
Mix 5 g with water, juice or a protein shake, once a day. Glutamine is close to tasteless and dissolves cleanly, which is one of its practical advantages over other free amino acids. Timing is flexible: after training or between meals both work. Do not add it to hot drinks — glutamine degrades with heat.
One caution. If you have liver or kidney disease, ask your doctor before taking glutamine — it is metabolised to ammonia and glutamate, and both organs are involved in clearing those.

Questions people ask
When should I take it?
Once a day, whenever is convenient. After training is the habit most people settle on.
Glutamine or EAA?
Different jobs. EAA provides the nine amino acids the body cannot make; glutamine is one the body makes but may run short of under load.
Can I take it with collagen?
Yes — collagen peptides mix into the same drink and neither interferes with the other. Full list in amino acids.
Good to know. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Talk to your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
