Lion’s Mane capsules, 60 pcs, give you 600 mg of Hericium erinaceus fruiting-body extract in each HPMC capsule. Two capsules a day, 60 capsules in the jar: exactly one month, which is where most people start with this mushroom.
A first month with lion’s mane
A single jar is a complete 30-day run, so you can try it as a short routine before committing to more. If you decide to carry on, the 100-capsule bottle holds the same extract for 50 days at a lower price per day, and the double extract is the liquid alternative if capsules are not for you.
The mushroom itself
Hericium erinaceus forms a cascade of soft white spines rather than a cap, which gives it the name “lion’s mane” or, in Japan, yamabushitake. It grows on hardwood in Europe, North America and Asia, and in East Asian cooking it is eaten fresh for a texture often compared to crab. It also has a place in traditional Chinese practice. Those are facts about cuisine and tradition, not claims about the extract.
For mushrooms there are no authorised EU health claims, so we do not state any benefit. Speak to a doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking anticoagulants or immunosuppressants, living with an autoimmune condition, or allergic to mushrooms. Ask your surgeon before planned surgery. Not for children.
From our farm to the capsule
The mushrooms are grown, dried, milled and extracted by us. The extract comes from the fruiting body — the part you would see in a forest or a kitchen — and the compounds usually discussed in connection with it are the hericenones and the beta-glucans in its cell walls. We do not use mycelium grown on grain, because what is sold under that name is largely the starch of the grain itself. The capsule shell is HPMC, a plant cellulose, so it is suitable for vegetarians and has no taste.
The 30-day routine
Take two capsules a day with food and water, in the morning or early afternoon. A month is the length we describe as a course, and some people continue for two or three months. Many people pair it with Reishi kept for the evening, and the full range is in mushrooms.
What is in each capsule
- Hericium erinaceus fruiting-body extract — 600 mg
- Shell: HPMC (vegetable cellulose)
- Two capsules a day, with food
- 60 capsules — a 30-day supply
Questions people ask
Why two capsules and not one?
Two capsules is the serving we describe: 1200 mg of extract a day, which is why 60 capsules make a month. Taking fewer simply stretches the jar.
Does it taste of mushroom?
The shell is neutral, and most people notice nothing. Taking it with food and water keeps it that way.
What do I do after the first jar?
That is up to you. Some people stop, some reorder the same jar, and some move to the larger bottle. There is no need for a break between jars.
Good to know. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Talk to your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
