L-tyrosine powder is single-ingredient tyrosine at 1 g per serving. 250 g unflavoured, 250 servings — the largest serving count in the range.
What tyrosine is
Tyrosine is a conditionally essential aromatic amino acid: the body makes it from phenylalanine, so it is only essential when phenylalanine intake is low. Its significance is what it turns into. Tyrosine is the starting material for the catecholamines — dopamine, then noradrenaline, then adrenaline — and also for thyroid hormones, where iodine is attached to tyrosine residues to build T3 and T4, and for melanin, the pigment in skin and hair.
Why people take it in the morning
Catecholamine synthesis draws on the available tyrosine pool, and that pool is depleted faster under acute stress, cold, sleep loss and sustained mental effort — which is the context the research has looked at. Hence the usual timing: morning or before a demanding session, on an empty stomach. No authorised EU health claim exists for tyrosine, and none is made here; this is the mechanism rather than a promised effect.
Why on an empty stomach
Tyrosine competes with the other large neutral amino acids — tryptophan, phenylalanine, leucine, valine — for the same transporter into the brain. Take it with a protein-containing meal and the competition flattens the effect. Water, 30 minutes before food, is how it is used in practice.
How to use the powder
Mix 1 g with water in the morning or before training, on an empty stomach. The powder is faintly bitter and does not dissolve completely — tyrosine is the least soluble of the common amino acids, so expect to stir it. Do not take it if you have hyperthyroidism or take thyroid medication, levodopa, or an MAO inhibitor, without medical advice: tyrosine feeds directly into those pathways. For energy over the longer term, L-carnitine tartrate and cordyceps capsules work through metabolism instead.

Questions people ask
Morning or before training?
Either, as long as it is away from a protein meal.
Can I take it daily?
Yes, at 1 g a day. Many people use it only on demanding days, which is why a pack lasts so long.
Does it dissolve properly?
Not fully — that is normal for tyrosine. Stir and drink. Full list in amino acids.
Good to know. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Talk to your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
