Lion’s Mane mushroom capsules, 100 pcs, hold 600 mg of Hericium erinaceus fruiting-body extract per capsule in a plant-cellulose shell. At two capsules a day the bottle lasts 50 days — the large format of the mushroom range.
Who the 100-capsule bottle is for
The extract is identical to the one in the smaller bottle; only the count changes. A bottle covers about seven weeks, and at current prices the cost per day is roughly half that of the 60-capsule pack. It suits people who already know they will keep taking lion’s mane, or two people sharing a bottle. If it is your first time, the 60-capsule bottle is the lighter way in, and if you prefer a drink to a capsule there is a liquid double extract of the same mushroom.
What we can and cannot say
No health claims are authorised in the EU for lion’s mane or any other mushroom, and applications for botanicals remain on hold. None is made here. What we can do is tell you what is in the capsule. Check with a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take blood-thinning or immunosuppressant medication, have an autoimmune condition or a mushroom allergy, or have surgery planned.
Hericenones, beta-glucans and the fruiting body
Hericium erinaceus is a toothed fungus that grows as a white, shaggy cluster on dead hardwood. The extract in these capsules is made from that fruiting body, so the compounds it is characterised by are beta-glucans, polysaccharides from the cell wall, and hericenones, aromatic compounds named after the species. Erinacines, a related group, are not what a fruiting-body product is built on, so we say nothing about them.
We grow it ourselves, from substrate to milling. We do not use mycelium on grain: that material is mostly leftover starch from the grain it grew on.
Taking it across 50 days
Two capsules a day with food, in the morning or early afternoon. Mushroom extracts are traditionally taken as courses of several weeks, and one bottle fits a single uninterrupted run. Both capsules can go together or be split between breakfast and lunch. A bottle opened daily for seven weeks needs its lid closed firmly each time, in a cool, dry cupboard. Mornings pair easily with Cordyceps, and the whole range is in mushrooms.
What is in each bottle
- Hericium erinaceus fruiting-body extract — 600 mg per capsule, 1200 mg in two capsules
- HPMC capsule (plant cellulose, no gelatine, suitable for vegetarians)
- Two capsules a day, with food
- 100 capsules — a 50-day supply
Questions people ask
Is this the same extract as the 60-capsule bottle?
Yes: same species, same 600 mg per capsule, same farm. The bottles differ in count and in price per day.
Can I take the two capsules at different times?
Yes. One with breakfast and one with lunch works as well as both together, provided each is taken with food.
Is a bottle this size too much to commit to?
That is a matter of preference. We make no claim about results; it simply suits people who prefer one routine without reordering monthly.
Good to know. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Talk to your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
